MA: Dreamology - Terry pt2
Anxiety was a familiar feeling, one that nipped at Terry’s heels like a hungry dog. He stood in front of the mirror, facing forward, eyes cast aside. It was blank, and would remain that way until he stared into it. But what would he see? What in his past would be so pivotal that it would appear here? Jacob vanishing? Cummins targeting him? Or something… His gaze lifted upwards, and gravitated accidentally towards the teacher. Her stony expression met his, and a slow, gentle smile carved itself across her face. Terry felt no reassurance. Sighing, he turned back to the mirror, knowing his options were limited. Static. It wasn’t what Terry expected, but it didn’t really surprise him either. Buzzing rang in his head as he stared forward, guts clenching with a familiar feeling. Trapped. Something in his blood and muscles squirmed. His chest hurt. Worthless little maggot. There, in the mirror. A face, so unlike his. But the terror and white hot, helpless rage that shot like lightning
