Kaiden has dealt with a great amount of responsibility from an early age. She takes charge of her actions, and does what is best for her people. Being the Silver One has led her to be extremely outgoing to others, taking the time to talk to the citizens of Fayview, and the Iron Guard that protect her and the Golden One at the Shining Sanctum. No one is left unnoticed with Kaiden, and no one is judged - even the burliest, angriest, scariest looking of people. Always polite, always open-minded is the Silver One.

If there was one statement that could describe Kaiden, it would be the 'unmovable object.' While she is willing to listen to others and take their viewpoints to heart, she is mule-headed when it comes to something she believes in. She will talk to people, figure out what will be best for them and, if it is right and just, she will get it done. Period. She will not use force, she will not use violence. She will complete her tasks with grace, serenity and compassion - all good qualities for the Silver One of Lejos.

However, Kaiden is somewhat naive to the workings of the world. Being sixteen and having been on zero pilgrimages, she is unaware of how, exactly, the world can be different from her viewpoints. People she trusts far too easily might hurt her. The government may not watch over its people like the Golden One does for Lejos. Far too trusting, far too naive, there is a lot to learn.

In short, Kaiden is extremely out-going and lives for the well-being of others. Altruistic and forgiving, she is beloved by her people and takes confidence in herself. But the world is not all sunshine and rainbows and, sometimes, the Silver One can forget that bad things do happen.

Likes: Reading, warm weather, dancing, being around people. Kaiden enjoys making other people happy. She loves seeing children smiling. Kaiden also takes comfort in praying and communing with her Goddess, Moi'Rai.

Dislikes: Stressful situations, harm coming to others, feeling powerless. She doesn't dislike much, really. There are small things that exasperate her, but she can live with them more or less. When one attempts harm on another, it is something she will not stand for.

Strengths: A normal human, Kaiden has no powers. Or, so she thinks. Sometimes, strange things may happen. An arrow shot at her turns at an unnatural angle, she displays certain abilities that go far beyond what one should be able to do. She has no clue what these powers are, or even how they work or how to control them. "Ninen Moi'Rai watches over me." That is her reasoning.

***How it really works: Kaiden's reasoning is indeed correct. Through the eyes of Nin, Moi'Rai watches Kaiden. If Kaiden asks for help, it will be granted. The thing is, Kaiden will rarely rely on such things. She believes in her own strength and following her own path with her own powers. Only when she believes others are in mortal danger - whether suffering for mortal wounds or losing a fight - will Kaiden accept the help and intervene with such abilities. The acceptance is really nothing more than her following a gut feeling and acting upon thoughts similar to 'I can do this'

Such interventions will be passive and defensive. It can range from healing injuries to an extent, opening locked doors, and misdirecting attacks. Another thing is that Kaiden cannot physically withstand channeling such power for longer periods of time. That's what the staff is for - to take away some of the stress. The Silver One is merely a conduit, seen through the eyes of her owl, Nin. If Nin is not with Kaiden, she is not being watched and Moi'Rai cannot offer assistance.))

Weaknesses: Kaiden is a normal, sheltered child. She can't even lift slightly heavy objects. She gets hurt, she bleeds. She breaks her leg, she cannot walk. The Silver One is a pacifist, and will not strike another, even if they strike her first.

History

Found by Hi-Shen Alainna the Golden One as a baby in a destroyed village, she was taken in and raised in the Shining Sanctum. Kaiden found safety and comfort in the religion and became very devote very quickly. Soon, she took place of Silver One and blossomed. Kaiden's current life is filled with learning, interacting with her people, and prayer.

Motive: She desires no knowledge or physical object. Kaiden's only goal is to help the city's people.

Extra Info

*Kaiden is the Silver One of Lejos. She is next in line to become the religious leader of her country and thus the Golden One.

*Along for the ride is the owl Kaiden calls Nin. Nin seems to express intelligence but Kaiden pays no mind. Owls, being revered as sacred beasts, are also called the Eyes of Moi'Rai.

*Moi'Rai is seen as the Goddess (goes by the gender neutral title of Ninen) of Lejos. She is a powerful being that watches over Kaiden through the eyes of Nin. Due to the stories of her religion, Kaiden is aware of this, yet does not think much of it. When Nin is with Kaiden, the Silver One may accept assistance from Moi'Rai.

*Kaiden carries a small owl figurine with her. She uses it to ward off monsters of her world, called Tricks. 'Trick' is not synonymous with prank or fool. Kaiden will only use the word 'Trick' to refer to such beasts.

*Other things in her satchel: 1 loaf of bread, 1 cheese wedge, dried meat, 3 apples, 1 water skin, bandages, salve, a small bag of Lejan money, paring knife, rope, matches, compass, and 2 of Kaiden's favorite scrolls.

*Kaiden is well-versed in the art of singing and dancing.

*Kaiden is from a country that does not have a gender binary or heteronormativity. Kaiden will not assume someone goes by he or she or xe or anything unless told directly. She will introduce herself as 'Hi-Shen Kaiden the Silver One.' If someone does not tell her up front or use the titles that are common in her world, she will use 'they/them/their' pronouns until corrected.
